Cosmo chain set to open in RoI

The Cosmo restaurant chain, which has outlets in 16 UK cities, including Belfast, has announced that it is to open in Dublin within the next 18 months, creating more than 150 new jobs.

The first new outlet has been planned for the Liffey Valley shopping centre. It is to open in December, offering 280 seats and 60 new jobs.

The outlet will feature global cuisine and include live cooking stations that will showcase the Japanese culinary art of teppanyaki.

Two further restaurants will open in the city in the future, said the company in a recent statement.

Cosmo regional director, Bock Liang, says that the chain spent six years looking for a suitable location for its new outlet:

“It’s a very exciting time of expansion for the Cosmo restaurant group, with more new openings in the UK,” he added. “We are also planning more Dublin locations in the city centre and south Dublin in the next 18 months.”
