Graze to showcase Doran family wines

South African vineyard owner, Edwin Doran will be pairing his sumptious Doran Family Vintners wines with the acclaimed culinary skills of Graze restaurant owner and chef, John Moffatt in an event at the Ballyhackamore venue tomorrow evening (November 30).

On the night, guests will enjoy five courses, all with expertly paired wines. Edwin who is originally from Ireland, will talk them through the wine pairings, his lifetime affair with wine and how he came to fall in love with South Africa to the point of setting up a vineyard there four years ago.

The Doran Family wines are distributed in NI by Holywood-based Harland Wines, which was established in September last year by two friends, Adam McCullough and Simon Bryans, with the aim of reinvigorating the Northern Irish market with new and exciting wines from around the world.

Graze was the fledgling company’s first customer and since then, its portfolio has been rapidly expanding.

Adam and Simon first met Edwin Doran at the bar at the London Wine Fair back in May and have been distributing the Doran Family Vineyard brand around the province since then.

Celebrated wine writer, Hugh Johnston, has already declared the Doran wines as ones to watch amongst South African vineyards, so tomorrow evening’s Belfast event surely is a night not to be missed.

The cost of the evening is £55 per head and to book your place, contact Graze restaurant on (028) 90658658.
