NI hotels ranked in Trip Advisor UK Top 25
Two Northern Irish hotels have made it into the UK’s Top 25 listing, announced as part of the annual Trip Advisor Travellers’ Choice Awards.
Based on guest reviews, Bishop’s Gate hotel in Derry-Londonderry has been named in second position this year, just behind London’s prestigious Hotel 41 in the top slot.
Also named at number 23 in the UK ranking is the Bushmills Inn on the north coast.
“Great place, great food, great service,” wrote one delighted Bushmills reviewer.
The B1 listed Bishop’s Gate Hotel in Derry has been open for just a year. Situated in the old Northern Counties building, the hotel is in the older section of the city and used to be a private members’ club. It now has 30 bedrooms as well as the Wig and Gown Champagne Bar and Restaurant and the Northern Counties Ballroom.
Speaking to LCN following the announcement of the Top 25 Trip Advisor hotels for the UK, GM at the Bishop’s Gate hotel, Ciaran O’Neill said that he and the staff were “completely overwhelmed” by the accolade.
“This shows we are at the top of our industry and we look forward to continuing to deliver the highest quality standards our guests expect,” he added.
