Plush new facilities unveiled at Galgorm

Galgorm Resort & Spa has unveiled the results of a three-month renovation programme in its magnificent Upper Great Hall.

The new £1.5m Renaissance Suite features a dramatic, fully-glazed wall that gives guests a stunning view of cascading waters and dramatic landscapes.

The suite can accommodate up to 160 guests at a time and includes rich leather seating, antique gold lead mirrors, solid oak-panel walls, a feature fireplace and an eye-catching chandelier bar.

Work has now begun on a further £10m extension at the luxury, four-star venue that will see 48 new bedrooms and a leisure wing with a swimming pool and a gym added to the offering.

Paul Smyth, operations director at the venue, says that the resort has always to adapt and evolve to meet the needs of its clients:

“We find that wedding couples want the unique experience that a traditional property offers while benefiting from all the modern amenities of a new design,” he added. “We feel that the Renaissance Suite achieves this and I am really very proud of the refurbishment.”

The new banqueting suite also features its own private entrance complete with an outside terrace, an opulent new reception area with  feature marble fireplace, custom-made carpets, parquet flooring and luxurious soft furnishings.
