Searching for the LCN Community Bar of the Year 2017

Searching for the LCN Community Bar of the Year 2017

This year’s Licensed & Catering News Awards will, for the first time, recognise those local bars that work hardest to place themselves at the centre of their communities.

In conjunction with our media sponsor, Q Radio, we’re going to be shining a light on those bars that have gone the extra mile for their customers by offering additional help or services to the community around them.

We’re looking for venues that have enriched their localities by contributing funds, time or resources beyond what you might expect a business to provide.

Perhaps your venue runs regular charity events; maybe you make your premises available for community meetings and functions or perhaps you organised regular outings for regular customers or local senior citizens.

We want to know how you use your pub and your place at the heart of your community to help make the lives of others easier and better.

When it comes to deciding a winner in this new category, the team at LCN will be selecting one bar from each county and two bars from Belfast as finalists.

Bars will then be judged by public vote in conjunction with Q Radio and the nominated bar in each region will be visited by the Q Radio bus which will run an outside broadcast from the venue.

The winner of this award will be decided by public vote and those votes can be given either in the bar or via LCN’s own social media once the finalists have been announced.  The winner of the award will be the bar with the most votes.

If you think your bar fits the bill – or if you know of a venue that works hard at the heart of its community – then get nominating now by clicking the LCN Awards tab at the top of this page.
