Trojans celebrate a boost from Budweiser

The Belfast Trojans American Football team kicked off the New Year by welcoming Budweiser on board as the new team sponsor and moving to a new home at Belfast Harlequins Sports Arena.

Sarah Shimmons, beer marketing manager for Tennent’s NI, believes the move will work wonders for the popularity of American football in Northern Ireland, and adds: “Budweiser, with its American roots, is delighted to back the Belfast Trojans who, like the brand, really are at the top of their game.  We are also really enthused at the team’s aspirations to open up the sport to wider audiences.”

The announcement of the move came just ahead of this year’s mega NFL Super Bowl event at the start of this month. The event took place at Madison’s Hotel in Belfast on Superbowl Sunday.
